Refuse To Be A Victim

Refuse to be a victim

Improve your personal safety strategies with NRA’s Refuse To Be A Victim® Program. Please be aware, this is absolutely NOT a firearms course. This is a course on personal safety, specifically geared towards women and families, but adaptable to all age groups and demographics.

Experts agree that the single most important step toward ensuring your personal safety is making the decision to refuse to be a victim. That means that you must have an overall personal safety strategy in place before you need it.

Through a four-hour seminar (shorter presentations are available) called Refuse To Be A Victim®, you can learn the personal safety tips and techniques you need to avoid dangerous situations and avoid becoming a victim.

Hundreds of federal, state, and local law enforcement officials across the country have implemented Refuse To Be A Victim® into their crime prevention and community policing initiatives.

Personal Security

Technological Security

Refuse to be a Victim can be applied to classrooms of all sizes and ages, from middle-school aged children to elderly and retirement-home communities. With that in mind,we structure each course to cover topics relevant to the age group and the geographic location. (For example, we don’t spend time on the companion program and bus route safety for elderly citizens that don’t live in a city.) The course is very dynamic and very adaptable to all audiences.

Cost of the Class

Our goal is to make this course so widely available that everyone could take it. Towards that end, S.A.F.T. and the NRA have some amazing grant opportunities for large groups, such as public schools, retirements communities, etc. If you have a community oriented group or school that would like S.A.F.T. to teach this course, we will work with you to determine if we can get grant approval to fund the cost of your course.

Traditional S.A.F.T Refuse to Be A Victim course cost is $25, which includes all your student materials as well as your NRA certification. Group discounts are available.
